Nothing on YardRoute should be interpreted as:

  • A recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any cryptocurrency

  • Investment advice or strategy

  • Legal counsel

You should consult qualified professionals (financial advisors, tax accountants, lawyers) before making any financial decisions.

1.2 No Investment Opportunity

YardRoute is not an investment vehicle. Using the Service does not constitute an investment in OnchainYard or any cryptocurrency project.

1.3 Informational Purposes Only

All information provided on YardRoute (fee estimates, transaction times, routing options) is for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as accurate or complete.

2. Technology Risks

2.1 Non-Custodial Service

YardRoute is a non-custodial platform. This means:

  • You control your cryptocurrency at all times

  • We cannot recover lost or stolen funds

  • We cannot reverse or cancel transactions

  • You are solely responsible for wallet security

If you lose your private keys or send funds to the wrong address, your cryptocurrency is permanently lost.

2.2 Software Risks

YardRoute is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

Risks include:

  • Bugs or errors in our software that may cause transaction failures

  • Downtime or outages that prevent access to the Service

  • Interface errors that display incorrect information

  • Compatibility issues with certain wallets or browsers

We are not liable for losses caused by software defects.

2.3 Third-Party Dependencies

YardRoute relies on third-party infrastructure:

  • StarkGate

  • TON Bridge

  • Others

Blockchain Networks:

  • Ethereum

  • Base

  • Coinbase Wallet

  • WalletConnect

  • Others

If any third-party service fails, YardRoute may be unavailable or transactions may fail.

3. Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Risks

3.1 Irreversible Transactions

Blockchain transactions are permanent and irreversible.

Once a transaction is confirmed:

  • It cannot be canceled or reversed

  • Funds sent to the wrong address cannot be recovered

  • YardRoute cannot intervene or provide refunds

Always verify transaction details before confirming.

3.2 Price Volatility

Cryptocurrency prices are extremely volatile.

Risks include:

  • Significant price changes between transaction initiation and completion

  • Loss of value during cross-chain transfers

  • Slippage exceeding quoted estimates

The value of your cryptocurrency may decrease substantially, including to zero.

3.3 Network Congestion

Blockchain networks experience congestion during high usage periods.

This can result in:

  • Delayed transaction confirmations (minutes to hours)

  • Higher gas fees than estimated

  • Failed transactions that still consume gas fees

  • Temporary inability to complete transfers

YardRoute cannot control network congestion or gas prices.

3.4 Hard Forks and Network Upgrades

Blockchain networks may undergo hard forks or protocol upgrades.

Risks include:

  • Temporary Service unavailability

  • Transaction failures or delays

  • Loss of funds if transactions are submitted during a fork

  • Chain splits creating duplicate tokens

We will make reasonable efforts to adapt to network changes but cannot guarantee uninterrupted Service.

3.5 Smart Contract Risks

Bridge protocols use smart contracts to facilitate cross-chain transfers.

Risks include:

  • Bugs or vulnerabilities in smart contract code

  • Exploits or hacks that drain liquidity pools

  • Reentrancy attacks, overflow errors, or other technical vulnerabilities

  • Unaudited or poorly audited contracts

Major bridge exploits have resulted in hundreds of millions of dollars in user losses.

Examples of past bridge hacks:

  • Wormhole (February 2022): $320M stolen

  • Ronin Bridge (March 2022): $625M stolen

  • Nomad Bridge (August 2022): $190M stolen

YardRoute is not responsible for losses caused by smart contract exploits.

4. Bridge Protocol Risks

4.1 Third-Party Bridge Providers

YardRoute does not operate bridge protocols. Transactions are executed by third-party providers.

We do not control:

  • Bridge smart contracts

  • Liquidity pools

  • Security audits

  • Operational reliability

We cannot guarantee:

  • Transaction success

  • Funds recovery in case of bridge failure

  • Accuracy of bridge provider information

4.2 Bridge Failures

Bridge protocols may experience:

  • Technical failures (server outages, API errors)

  • Liquidity shortages (insufficient funds in pools)

  • Security incidents (hacks, exploits, insider attacks)

  • Regulatory actions (shutdowns, freezes, sanctions)

If a bridge protocol fails while your transaction is in progress, your funds may be lost or frozen.

4.3 Delayed or Stuck Transactions

Cross-chain transfers may take longer than estimated or become stuck.

Causes include:

  • Bridge protocol delays

  • Network congestion on source or destination chains

  • Validator downtime

  • Technical errors

YardRoute cannot expedite or resolve stuck transactions. Contact the bridge protocol directly for support.

5. Security Risks

5.1 Wallet Security

You are solely responsible for securing your cryptocurrency wallet.

Risks include:

  • Phishing attacks (fake websites, emails, or apps)

  • Malware (keyloggers, clipboard hijackers)

  • Social engineering (scams, impersonation)

  • Physical theft (stolen devices, seed phrases)

Never share your private keys or seed phrases with anyone, including YardRoute.

5.2 Man-in-the-Middle Attacks

Hackers may attempt to intercept transactions.

Risks include:

  • Modified transaction parameters (changed recipient address or amount)

  • Redirection to malicious smart contracts

  • DNS hijacking or phishing sites impersonating YardRoute

Always verify you are on the official YardRoute domain (yardroute.com) and check transaction details carefully.

5.3 Compromised Devices

If your device is compromised, attackers may:

  • Steal your private keys

  • Drain your wallet

  • Manipulate transaction data

Use hardware wallets, keep software updated, and avoid using public WiFi for transactions.

6.1 Uncertain Regulation

Cryptocurrency regulation is evolving and varies by jurisdiction.

Risks include:

  • Sudden regulatory changes that restrict or prohibit cryptocurrency use

  • Government bans on cross-chain transfers or stablecoin transactions

  • Tax implications you may not be aware of

  • Legal liability for using cryptocurrency in your jurisdiction

You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws.

If you lose funds:

  • There is no deposit insurance

  • There is no fraud protection

  • There is no chargeback mechanism

  • Recovery is generally impossible

7.3 Slippage and Price Impact

Actual transaction amounts may differ from quoted estimates.

Causes include:

  • Price changes between quote and execution

  • Low liquidity in bridge pools

  • Front-running or MEV (miner extractable value) attacks

This includes:

  • Removing support for certain chains or tokens

8.3 No Guarantee of Accuracy

Fee estimates, transaction times, and routing recommendations are estimates only.

Actual results may differ due to:

  • Market conditions
